David Etse Nyadedzor

Founding Director, Master Drummer

An experienced Ghanaian Traditional Drummer with expertise in many areas of African music and dance.
David studied drumming at the Folkloric Selamta – Center for National Culture, Accra, Ghana. His studies included
Ghanaian and other African drumming techniques resulting in a repertoire of Ghanaian, Togolese, Nigerian, Guinean,
Senegalese, Zimbabwean, and South African dances. In the Syracuse area, he has presented clinics and master classes
at universities and schools such as Syracuse University; Onondaga Community College; Hamilton College. Currently in
the Syracuse City Schools, David instructs for the Syracuse University’s “Say Yes to Education” Program.
